Introduction
Mars is an excellent place to investigate this question because it is the most similar planet to Earth in the Solar System. Evidence suggests that Mars was once full of water, warmer and had a thicker atmosphere, offering a potentially habitable environment.
Scientists are currently studying the planet for clues about its past and this information might help us make Mars a little more like Earth. One day, we may even be able to build cities there.
Here are various reasons why Mars can be our second home.
1. Soil
As we all know water is one of the most essential elements needed for life to survive anywhere.
Through a lot of research and experiments scientists have discovered the Ancient Rivers of mars. Once upon a time it was just like rivers on Earth today.
Scientists also have discovered the presence of ice under the surface of mars. It shows us that there originally was water present on the surface of mars and water in the form of ice under the surface can easily be extracted by heating the surface.
2. Temperature
As we all know - the further you go from the sun, the colder it gets. This is the reason the temperature of Mars ranges between -30 to -100 degrees celsius.
Although such a cold temperature is very hard to live on, it can still be managed by humans with some assistance of science and technology.
Similarly to Earth, Mars has four distinct seasons which are Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
3. Gravity
The gravity on mars is 38% of that on Earth. The value of the 'g' force on Mars is just 3.7 m/s.
Lets say you're 100 kg on Earth, You will be carrying all that weight downwards while walking. But on Mars you would only be carrying 37 kgs. Therefore you will feel way more lighter on Mars than you feel on Earth.
4. Present in the Habitable Zone
The Habitable Zone in space is the circumstellar habitable zone, or simply the habitable zone, is the range of orbits around a star within which a planetary surface can support liquid water given sufficient atmospheric pressure. So the Habitable Zone Is basically a zone around the Sun which can support basic forms of life
Our Solar Systems habitable zone is between 0.9 to 1.5 AU, which includes mostly Earth and Mars. This is one of the most important factors which proves that Mars can be terraformed into another Earth and can be made into our next home.
Conclusion
Looking at the hypothetical fantasy, and the thoughts presented above, there seems be a great chance of human survival on Mars.
Personally, I love mars and i want to go there one day.
